Coaching for ADHD and Neurodivergent Adults
Virtual sessions available in the continental U.S. and Canada
Hi, I’m Amy.
For years, I worked directly in people's homes as a professional organizer, helping clients declutter, create systems, and make their spaces function better.
I loved the work, but something kept bothering me.
While many of my ADHD and neurodiverse clients were creative and enthusiastic about creating new systems, they often struggled to maintain them. Many eventually found themselves back at square one.
With enough experience, I came to understand that a good system was never going to be enough.
ADHD adults don't struggle because they are lazy or don't care. They struggle because follow-through is harder. Habits are harder. Routines are harder. Decisions are harder. Consistency is harder.
This realization led me to coach training, where I learned how to partner with ADHD adults to identify what gets in the way and gradually develop the habits, routines, structure, and support that help them achieve their goals.
Systems creation is sometimes part of that work. But coaching starts with something deeper: understanding how a person functions and using that understanding to inform change.
How I work
My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and goal-oriented.
Every client comes to coaching because there is something they want to change. Sometimes it's chronic procrastination. Sometimes it's overwhelm, emotional regulation, follow-through, relationships, or a persistent sense of chaos. Whatever the goal, our work begins there.
Together, we look at what is happening, what is getting in the way, and what you are learning about yourself along the way.
Between sessions, you'll experiment with new approaches in real life. We'll use those experiences to gather information, refine your understanding, and identify what works best for you.
Over time, we'll build a personal operating manual: a growing body of knowledge about how you function and what helps you function well.
That understanding becomes the foundation for meaningful change.
My Qualifications
I am a Foundation Core Curriculum graduate of the Coach Approach Training Institute (CATI), an ICF-accredited program grounded in core coaching competencies and strengths-based practice. My coursework includes Coaching Essentials, Strengths-Based Coaching, Brain-Based Coaching, Life and ADHD Coaching, and Coach Integration. I am currently enrolled in Level 2 coursework with a focus on neurodiversity and am building toward the 100 hours required to apply for the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential through the ICF, which I anticipate applying for in 2027.
I also hold the Certified Professional Organizer® (CPO®) designation, awarded by the Board of Certification for Professional Organizers. Earning it required documenting a significant number of paid organizing hours, passing a comprehensive certification exam, and committing to a professional code of ethics and ongoing continuing education. I continue to work with organizing clients, and that experience shapes the way I coach.
What I bring to coaching is serious ADHD-informed and neuro-affirming training, a grounded and collaborative methodology, and years of direct experience with the patterns that bring most people to coaching in the first place. I take this work seriously, and that will be evident from our first conversation.
I am an active member of the ADHD Coaches Organization (ACO), the National Association of Productivity & Organizing Professionals (NAPO), and the Institute for Challenging Disorganization (ICD), where I pursue continuing education and stay connected to current research and best practices in ADHD and executive function support.
Working Together
If you're tired of relying on last-minute pressure, feeling overwhelmed by everyday life, or struggling to follow through on what matters most, coaching may be able to help.
The first step is a 15-minute introductory call. We'll talk about what's bringing you to coaching, what you'd like to change, and whether working together feels like a strong fit.
If it does, we'll schedule your first four sessions and begin the work. If it doesn't, I'm happy to point you toward other resources that may be more helpful.
Where I go deeper:
One of my passions is writing. My blog features articles about ADHD, neurodiversity, life transitions, coaching and more.
